The Most Elaborate Constitution
Unlike the previously written acts such as Government of India Act (1935) and Indian Independence Act (1947), Constitution of India was planned, documented and enacted by the Indian leaders only. The date of 26th January was specifically chosen for Republic Day as it was the same day when Indian Nation Congress refuted the proposal of Dominion state under British Regime and called for Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj).
The constitution of India is probably the most elaborate set of protocols made for maintaining the sovereignty, socialism, secularism, democracy, justice, equality, liberty and fraternity in a nation. Dr. Bhimrao Ramji aka Babasaheb Ambedkar is regarded as the founding father of Indian constitution who headed the drafting committee assigned for making the constitution.
